The artists in residence

Highly-talented and motivated young artists - painters, sculptors, photographers, composers, architects, poets and writers - are invited to live and to work in the Artists‘ House at Castello di Gargonza. During their studies they will already have aroused public interest with performances or exhibitions and will have shown particular interest in interdisciplinary work.

In the future, the selection of the artists in residence will be found by a jury via competitions - only in the launch period the artists in residence will be nominated by the board of trustees. Significant persons of international standing have agreed to appoint the scholarship holders and to act as board of trustees and prospective jury members.
