The Artists' Residency

The Gargonza Arts Artists' in Residency comprises a stay of several months, travel and other expenses such as board and lodging, mentoring and work material as well as a monthly stipend. Additionally a guided tour is offered to the most significant cultural places of interest of the region. The most important aspect is working 'cross over', which comprises all disciplines of art working simultaneously in the artists' house and in other places of the Castello di Gargonza.
At the end of the three months the scholars will prepare a presentation together, which will highlight several aspects of their stay and in particular their insight into the other arts' way of working and its effect on the own creative process. This presentation is meant to move on to different locations organized by InterArtes e.V. and will be displayed there as well. These could be places like Lucca, Düsseldorf, Paris, Budapest and others. Furthermore the scholars will donate one of their art works, sketches or drafts.
